For this week's figure 1- hour figure class, Lizet is doing another pastel experiment! Looking at warm and cool colours in a limited palette, as well as pushing your colour choices in pastel. Materials used: Soft pastels on brown paper, and willow charcoal for the underdrawing. Lizet used Jackson's soft pastels in pale yellow, rose grey, red brown and van dycke brown, plus a bit of violet and carmine for the colourful accents.

Join Lizet for this week's 1- hour portrait session with model James R, drawing the profile with a limited pastel pencil palette on brown toned paper. The focus is on balancing warm and cool tones, layering colour to build subtle halftones and lights while keeping the portrait simple and controlled.
Materials used: Pastel pencils on brown toned paper. Lizet uses white, beige red, earth or chrome green and Van Dyke brown by Faber Castell, plus willow charcoal for the drawing.

This should be a fun one! Join Lizet for this weeks 1 - hour mastercopy of Wright of Derby. Inspired by 'From the shadows', an exhibition currently on show at the National Gallery in London until the 10th of May.
Materials used: Pastel and willow charcoal on grey-toned paper. Light yellow soft pastel, sanguine soft pastel, and pitt pastel pencils; sanguine pastel pencil, van dyck brown pastel pencil and beige red pastel pencil. Lizet also used a hog brush for blending.
