Hugh: An online figure drawing session

Lydia Cecil

For this week’s 1-hour drawing session, Lydia works from model Hugh, focusing on a step-by-step study of two hands. The session looks at proportion and structure before building light and shadow to create form, with careful attention to edges and subtle details. Materials used: 4B pencil, optional 2B or HB pencil, and kneaded eraser or putty rubber.
