In this fast-paced tutorial, Lizet demonstrates how to construct dynamic figure drawings using simple shapes and clear structural landmarks, working from poses by model Adrian. Beginning with a straightforward standing pose, she gradually introduces more challenging foreshortened and distorted positions. Figures are built with blocks, ovals, and &ldquo;wheel&rdquo; joints, measured in head units, with attention to gesture, centreline, and key landmarks such as the pit of the neck, ribcage arch, navel, knees, and ankles. Overlaps and strong action lines help convey depth and movement, while limbs and hands are simplified for clarity. Optional shading can reinforce form and contours.
