Saeko: An online portrait drawing session

Luca Indraccolo

In this portrait session, Luca explores colour harmony in pastel with model Saeko. Starting with broad masses of light and a warm yellow underlayer, the portrait is gradually developed through layered colour, soft blending, and careful value relationships. Features are introduced later, allowing the focus to remain on light, form, and the overall harmony of the image. Materials used: red sanguine, sepia brown and white pastel pencils, black charcoal pencil, bright yellow and blue soft pastels, white chalk, putty eraser.
