In this 4-week Raw Umber Challenge series, Lizet Dingemans covers four important themes in oil painting: Monochrome, Warm and Cool, Form, and Texture. Each session lasts an hour, and Lizet will be painting in real-time so you can either paint along with her or just listen and do your own thing. This challenge is suitable for all levels, and it's guaranteed to give you insights into oil painting and improve your skills.

The theme for the Raw Umber Challenge Week 1 is monochrome - an extremely useful exercise that lets you focus on paint application without worrying about colour. You will be drawing a skull this week along with Lizet Dingemans using the still life on screen or choose one from the model pack.

In this week 2 of the 4-week Raw Umber Challenge series, the challenge will be warm and cool. Lizet Dingemans will be painting a pear in red and green using 3 primaries, white and raw umber.

In this week 3 of the 4-week Raw Umber Challenge series, the challenge is form - the ability to use paint to make your works look three-dimensional. Lizet Dingemans will be painting a statue in 1 hour using a limited palette of white, raw sienna, raw umber, and black.
