In August 2025, ten artists gathered at Raw Umber Studios in Stroud to paint a portrait from life, in a competition with over £3,000 of prizes.
In this week's Raw Umber portrait drawing session, Lizet Dingemans will be doing a single 1-hour pose of Byuka as she recaps how you can break down the portrait itself and also the features.
In this week 2 of the 4-week Raw Umber Challenge series, the challenge will be warm and cool. Lizet Dingemans will be painting a pear in red and green using 3 primaries, white and raw umber.
