Join Lizet for this week's 1- hour portrait session with model James R, drawing the profile with a limited pastel pencil palette on brown toned paper. The focus is on balancing warm and cool tones, layering colour to build subtle halftones and lights while keeping the portrait simple and controlled. Materials used: Pastel pencils on brown toned paper. Lizet uses white, beige red, earth or chrome green and Van Dyke brown by Faber Castell, plus willow charcoal for the drawing.
