The Winner of the Public Vote for Raw Umber Studios Paint Off 2025

In August 2025, ten amazing artists gathered at our studios in Stroud to paint a portrait from life. As well as the judges' choice, we asked you, the public, to vote for your favourite painting.
We're really pleased to announce that Vriynda Pahuja won with this wonderful painting of Leidy:
'Leidy' by Vriynda Pahuja
Vryinda wins a £500 cash prize along with £250 of vouchers kindly donated by Cass Art.
Vryinda says “I’m an artist who loves exploring character and emotion through portraits. Taking part in the Paint Off 2025 was an inspiring and genuinely uplifting experience. The space had such a welcoming, creative energy, and the other artists were incredibly warm and talented. Simply being able to participate was an honour in itself, and I’m grateful that my portrait of Leidy resonated with the public!”
