Upcoming online sessions
We run regular, tutored online drawing sessions. They’re a great way to carve out a time to focus on your art each week. We run portrait drawing sessions every Sundays at 4 PM (UK Time) and figure drawing on Wednesdays at 8 PM (UK Time). A tutor joins us, does a demonstration and gives hints and tips. At the end of the session you can share your work with the group for feedback and we give you a link so you can download the photographs and continue working on your drawings.
Portrait sessions are free on the last Sunday of the month. Otherwise, sessions cost $6.50 each, or you can subscribe for only $12 a month. For a FREE taster session of your choosing, sign up below
“This is the best drawing instruction I’ve seen anywhere” – Miriam Danar
Sunday 26 October, 2025 at 4 PM (UK time)
Lizet Dingemans draws a portrait of model Sowmya this week, exploring the balance between mass and line to create structure and atmosphere. Using willow charcoal with a dark pencil, such as a 6B graphite or black coloured pencil on white paper, she demonstrates how to shift between broad tonal shapes and precise linear work to bring the portrait to life.
This session will start in 8 hours, 52 minutes' time.
Wednesday 29 October, 2025 at 8 PM (UK time)
Join Lizet Dingemans this week as she draws three 20-minute acrobatic poses of model Aimee, focusing on how to use line weight and overlaps to capture energy and depth in dynamic poses. Working in coloured pencil on white paper (though any precise drawing tool will do), she shows how to vary pressure and clarity in your lines to suggest movement, balance, and structure.
This session will start in 3 days' time.
