Winner of Raw Umber Image Prize 2024 Public Choice Award Announced

In its second year, we asked people to draw or paint one of the images from our reference image library.
We had over 1,000 entries from some 350 artists and the quality of work was outstanding. As well as the overall winner, we ran a public choice award featuring 15 of our favourite works.
We're really pleased to announce that the winner of this year's public choice award is this stunning portrait of Raj by Carole Condé:
Carole is based in Gloucestershire and has been working as an artist for over 20 years, primarily working on private commissions.
Carole says "I'm passionate about traditional skills, but at the time I did my degree, the only atelier-style art schools that I was aware of were in New York and Florence and I didn't have the courage to apply to them. This is why Raw Umber Studios are so important to me!!! My subscription grants me access to the knowledge and techniques that I've long sought, and the reference images and weekly drawing sessions are a great way to schedule regular practice. It's the art education I wish I'd had all those years ago! Thank you RUS!!"
