On a windy day in Dundry, Somerset, we join Jem on farmland as he paints a wistful scene. Using sparing brushstrokes and subtle colour variations he shows how to suggest details of trees and swaying grasses.
Make sure your painting is dry before beginning the next layer - Jem shows us the best way here.
To begin our second scene, we’ll draw out our landscape in pencil before adding those all-important washes.
