I began as a complete novice 12 months ago, starting with zero knowledge of how to approach oil painting but not only was she never dismissive, she actively encouraged me to progress, to better understand what I was seeing and how to transfer that to a board. It’s been an incredible experience that I can never recommend enough to anyone wanting to learn about oils, charcoal, or just basic drawing.
The teaching space, facilities, all excellent. Absolute bonus to have parking on site. But above all, fantastic teaching! I have learnt so much. Lizet is a natural educator. Very few could both paint and teach this well.

Monday night's demo by Lizet blew me away, She showed me how to paint, the way I have always wanted to paint. I have been learning about planes in the drawing sessions, but value, that's another world, still trying to grasp it, hopefully, my two-dimensional watercolours will now be a thing of the past! I am saving the video library for later in the summer when I have time to explore and experiment. Lizet is very special and one of a team of brilliant teachers. Well done to you all.

I enjoyed a four-day portrait painting course here. The studio is spacious, bright and airy, with all the amenities you would want. There is parking on-site and access is easy. The course was very well taught, using good professional models. The people were friendly and welcoming and learning was made appropriate for several levels of learners.

I’ve just completed Patricks four part course on Landscape Painting. It was excellent! I’ve learned so much about everything from composition to perspective and how to put paint on the surface!
My membership is great value and its really helped in me develop my art. Im going to my first plein air painting course in September and thanks to Patrick and Raw Umber I wont be too terrified!

I have learnt a huge amount from their online courses. Their gold subscription is excellent value for money as you also get access to all previous courses. In addition, I also attended a 4-day oil painting course at their new studio, the tuition by Sofia Welch was superb as was the studio. I can't rate them highly enough!

I've learnt more and experienced greater improvement in my drawing skills in the last 6 months as a result of RU sessions, than in the previous 10 years off and on at various life drawing sessions. The tutors and models/poses are first class! ... It's the combination of the format of your tutors creating a drawing and explaining each step, with highly talented tutors both in drawing techniques and explanations. Keep up the good work!
