Raw Umber Studios Image Prize 2023 - Public Choice Award Announced

We had over 1,300 votes for the 15 finalists public choice award - all drawings and paintings based on images from our searchable image library.
The fifteen finalists were all outstanding, but we have decided to award the £500 public choice award to Jane French for her portrait of Maleek:
'Maleek'by Jane French
Jane's painting is world class, with an astonishing use of colour and an accurate likeness.
Based in Leicester, Jane is an experienced figurative artist and portrait painter. She is also an art and design tutor, working online and at art institutions across the UK.
Jane says "I only recently discovered the Raw Umber Studios Image Reference Library and decided straightaway to purchase a subscription. The range of models used are so varied; the quality and composition of the photography is also excellent!"
