Paint Off 2024 - People's Choice Winner Announced

On 16th August 2024, eleven of the UK’s top portrait artists joined us at Mall Galleries and spent a day painting from life.
As well as a prize worth £2,500 awarded by our judges (you can see the winner here), we have awarded a second, £1,000 cash prize, chosen by you, the public.
With over 1,700 votes cast, it was a tightly fought race, but when the voting ended Mod White pipped the other artists at the post with her fabulous painting of Arnie. Congratulations Mod!
Mod says "I am a doctor and portrait painter. I love and am captivated by portraiture. I studied for a short time during a 3 months workshop at Florence Academy which solidified my love for representational art. I continued my study for a year at LARA. Since then I continue my studies through self- directed projects and take workshops when available. My approach is to meld traditional methods with contemporary themes. I love working from life and I work primarily in oils, charcoals and graphite."
