- Palette Knife
- Paints:
- Optional: Grey acrylic paint for the imprimatura
- 2 x Size 1, Size 6 and Size 10 Long Flat Hog Brush
- 4 x Daler and Rowney Graduate brushes, size 6
- Any brand of willow charcoal
- Sansodor
- Refined Linseed Oil
- Paper towels
- Fixative
- Plumb line
- Putty rubber
- 2 x Dipper
- Satin Gamvar varnish, for varnishing a few weeks later
