Announcing: Raw Umber Studios Prize

We're really pleased to announce the creation of the annual Raw Umber Studios Prize in association with the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. The winner of the first year's prize will be announced at the RP's annual exhibition on May 3rd.
We believe that the most exciting contemporary portraiture lies at the intersection of technical excellence and creative expression. The annual £2000 prize will encourage and reward this.
According to Anthony Connolly, President of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, 'Raw Umber Studios' online classes and workshops with tutors such as Lizet Dingemans, Luca Indraccolo and Anastasia Pollard really focus on the craft of portraiture, so we're thrilled to work with them on this prize'.
