In this hour-long online session, Scott Eaton uses a selection of images from his ‘Bodies in Motion’ library and draw along side, demonstrating gesture, proportion, anatomy and construction. Bodies in Motion is a decade-long project of Scott’s that consists of thousands of high-resolution photographs of dancers and athletes in motion.
Scott is a sculptor, designer, photographer, and educator. His work has been featured in Wired Magazine, Vogue, Vanity Fair, the New York Times, and across the internet. Scott frequently collaborates with other artists and companies, including Jeff Koons, Mark Wallinger, Nike, Industrial Light and Motion, Disney, Sony and Warner Bros.
This session mimics the structure of a traditional life drawing class. You will see a number of photographs on the screen for durations ranging from 2 to 30 minutes. Scott will draw along and gives and tips, or you are welcome to work on your own.
Once you have registered you will be sent a link to a password-protected web page. You will also be able to download the photographs used in the session so you can continue to work in your own time.
